Week Ahead 6-12 November 2025

Dear Friends

2025 Prabhupada Marathon Message
Dear Devotees, Well-wishers, and Friends,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Now that the most auspicious month of Damodar, Kartik, has concluded, I am delighted to announce the launch of the 2025 Prabhupada Book Marathon—a sacred opportunity for each of us to make a significant spiritual impact in the lives of countless souls. Srila Prabhupada’s books are truly spiritual time bombs—quietly entering homes and hearts, and then transforming lives with their powerful message. These books are the most effective instruments for spreading Krishna consciousness in this age. Having personally received the boundless mercy of Srila Prabhupada through his books, it is our solemn responsibility and out of deep gratitude, to share these treasures with others—especially with those who are searching, sometimes unknowingly, for meaning in this turbulent world.

Srila Prabhupada himself stressed the importance of this mission: “Actually it is a fact that ultimately everyone should preach and distribute books if they want to please me in the best way. Book distribution must be given stress always. He has spoken the right thing. If you do this sincerely, it is a fact that Krishna will supply everything else required… I blindly follow my Guru Maharaj. I do not know what is the result. So I am stressing on this point of book distribution. He told me this personally. Book distribution is bhagavata marga and temple worship is pancaratriki viddhi. Both are important for cultivating Vaisnavism but comparatively speaking bhagavata marga is more important than pancaratriki viddhi. As far as possible both should go on in parallel lines but still bhagavata marga is more important than the other. So you are all intelligent boys, so you should judge the desire of my Guru Maharaj and help me in that way.” (Letter to Sri Govinda – Bombay, 6 December, 1974)

Let us approach this marathon with sincerity, urgency, and compassion. I earnestly urge each of you to please take this opportunity seriously. Even distributing a single book, done in a mood of service and gratitude for what Srila Prabhupada has given us, will be a tremendous act of love and mercy. Together, let us invoke the blessings of Kartik throughout the Book Marathon. Let us be instruments of Srila Prabhupada’s compassion. Let us help awaken Krishna consciousness in the hearts of others.

I am praying that you all help in taking this Movement forward for the pleasure of our dearest Srila Prabhupada.

With hope, enthusiasm, and deepest gratitude,
Your servant,
Devadeva Das
