First Week Ahead for 2024

Dear Friends

May Sri Sri Radha Radhanath bless you to come closer to Their lotus feet in 2024! We are so pleased to connect with you again and have so much to share. We are delighted to announce that we are hosting the first four-day Durban Festival of Chariots since 2019, over the Easter weekend (29 March – 2 April) at the Bay of Plenty Lawns and Amphitheatre on the Durban Beachfront Promenade. You can anticipate an elevated bhakti celebration with a soul quest, seminars, Q&A, “bhakti-tainment,” an obstacle course, a flea market and festival staples: Govinda’s Deli, the boutique, Jagannath Palace, and kids zone. Confirmed guests thus far are His Holiness Indradyumna Swami and His Holiness Bhaktimarga Swami. We will be sharing more information each week.

The 2023 Prabhupada Marathon was a great success with devotees surpassing our goal and distributing a total of 15788 books. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organisers, support team, and book distributors. Save the Date: Prabhupada Marathon Awards on Sunday 21 January.

On Sunday 28 January, we celebrate Chandan Yatra to help keep Sri Sri Radha Radhanath cool in the hot Summer days. There are two sandalwood grinding stations set up in the Temple. Take advantage of the opportunity to render intimate service to the Deities by grinding sandalwood.
