Chariot Parade Routes
Friday, 3 April at 10.30am
Starting opposite Tropicana Hotel on OR Tambo Parade (Upper Marine Parade) at the car park, proceeding north towards Blue Waters Hotel. At Blue Waters Hotel, turning left going down Sandile Thusi Road and then turning left into Sylvester Ntuli Road and finally entering the festival site. This route is 2.8km.
Monday, 6 April at 5pm
Starting at the festival site, turning right into Sylvester Ntuli Road, turning left at the robots into Somtseu Road, then left into Snell Parade, heading towards Blue Waters Hotel, then turning left going down Sandile Thusi Road and then left into Sylvester Ntuli Road and finally entering the festival site. This route is 1.5km.

Rama Naumi & Ramayana Week with His Grace Shubha Vilas Prabhu

Ramayana Week begins on Saturday, 21 March. To enter deeply into Lord Rama’s pastimes we have invited Shubha Vilas Prabhu, author of Indian best seller Rise of the Sun Prince, to South Africa. Shubha Vilas Prabhu will be speaking every evening at different local temples through the week. When asked what his can audience expect, he shared: "The Ramayana is not a book; it is a way of life. I want to help people understand how we can incorporate the lessons of Ramayana in our life; how we can learn from Rama who possessed all qualities of a divine hero; understand the principles that underlie healthy relationships in our lives - between parents and children, between husband and wife, between brothers, between a leader and his followers.”

Week Ahead 12 - 17 March

You are warmly invited to the Snana-yatra celebration at New Jagannath Puri Temple on Sunday, 15 March at 11am. There will be a bus leaving from Sri Sri Radha Radhanath Temple at 10am. Be part of the  actual beginning of the Ratha-yatra festival. 

BBT Only Day - Saturday, 14 March
His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, the founder acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness said that the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust is his heart. We now have a BBT Africa branch who are doing great work in South Africa and the African continent. Since inception, they have published translations of Srila Prabhupada’s books in several local languages, hosted BBT conferences and created a network between book distributors and temples across the continent. BBT International shares Srila Prabhupada’s direction for the publication and distribution of his books. Next week we welcome His Grace Shubha Vilas Prabhu, author of the Indian bestseller, “Rise of the Sun Prince.” Shabha Vilas Prabhu will be giving talks, seminars and interviews in an around Durban. Details to follow next week.

Festival of the Golden Moon






Dear Friends,

On Thursday, 5 March we celebrate the Festival of the Golden Moon — Sri Gaura Purnima

We invite our children (adults too) to make birthday cards for Lord Caitanya, which will be offered on the altar. You can also bring gifts, flowers, bhoga, etc. For gift ideas you may contact Deva Deva on 076 178 6850. In the mood of Lord Caitanya, we invite you to introduce someone new to the holy name by either bringing them to the temple, get them to like our Facebook page, follow us on twitter, or join our Divine Network through subscribing to our email or whatsapp groups.
