The Best of the Varanas

Dear Friends,

On Thursday we honour Lord Ramacandra's most famous devotee, Sri Hanuman. Narada Muni glorified Hanuman, the best of the Vanaras, as: “You are the Lord’s servant, His friend, His carrier, His seat, His flag, His umbrella, His canopy, His fan. You are His bard, His adviser, His doctor, His general, His best helper, the expander of His infinite glories.” (Brihad Bhagavatamrita 1.24.65) You can read an article about Sri Hanuman on our website home page.

On Saturday we welcome His Holiness Vedavyasapriya Swami, from Gujarat in India, who is a disciple of Srila Prabhupada. Subscribers to our Back to Godhead magazine can expect their magazines in the mail along with the March/April 2013 issue of Hare Krishna News from Monday.

Beloved Lord Ramacandra

Dear Friends,

Hare Krishna. This week we celebrate one of the most beloved incarnations of Krishna, Lord Sri Ramacandra. Lord Rama is best known for His flawless character…in an age where people are cheated at every turn, He gives hope and sets the standard for real leadership. As Krishna says that the world pursues the exemplary standard of a great man, and there is none greater than the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

We warmly invite you to spend the weekend with us discussing and celebrating the great hero, Lord Rama. To help you get into the mood you can download or view the March/April 2013 Hare Krishna News now available on our website www.iskcondurban.net. There are interesting articles discussing Lord Ramacandra and His devotees.

We are also happy to announce that His Grace Mahatma Das, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, is still with us and will be giving talks over the next week, most notably, the seminar over the weekend.
