Friday 3 June 2022

Week Ahead 3-9 June 2022

Dear Friends

By now many of you would have received His Holiness Kadamba Kanana Swami’s letter briefly describing his severe health challenges. Since the mid-nineties, Kadamba Kanana Maharaja has been a source of immense inspiration and guidance to the South African devotees. At ISKCON Durban, Sri Sri Radha Radhanath Temple, we also share in the pain the news that Maharaja’s health brings to his disciples and followers and offer our heartfelt support to all of them. By the grace of Srila Prabhupada, we have been blessed with the merciful association of saints like Kadamba Kanana Maharaja and we are dedicated to reciprocating in service to Maharaja.

New WhatsApp Line for TCK & Sponsorships
We thank Her Grace Bhaktidevi Dasi for her years of dedication to managing the Take Care of Krishna (TCK), deity festivals, and devotee prasada sponsorships. As she is relocating to Sri Vrindavan-dhama in a few days, those services will now be managed by Satyarani Devi Dasi. Kindly direct all queries to her via our new TCK WhatsApp number: 063 297 4398.

One Spirit Youth Festival in Durban Postponed

We extend our gratitude to all who came forward with so much enthusiasm to assist with the One Spirit Youth Festival originally planned for 18 June 2022. At this point, however, we are forced to postpone the festival due to the relevant government departments not being able to finalize their grant contribution in a reasonable time before the festival date. We apologize for the disappointment this causes. We will confirm the rescheduled arrangements in the next month, and look forward to your enthusiasm and support.
