Dear Friends,

Hare Krishna.

We honoured Shrimati Radharani, Shri Krishna most beloved devotee, the past
Sunday. Our bakers put their best foot forward and presented the most beautiful
and artistic cakes to Shrimati Radharani. Their Lordships Shri Shri Radha
Radhanath were bathed in the golden light of the afternoon sun on Their boat
ride and the evening was filled with wonder when the Deities wore a striking
black and white new outfit. Radharani's skirt was charming with Krishna's
silhouette. The festival was topped the a rocking kirtan with His Holiness
Kadamba Kanana Swami.

The latest edition of Hare Krishna News (September/October) is posted on our
website: www.iskcondurban.net. There is also a audio of the Damodarastaka
Prayers available for download.

As Venu Gopal writes in his article, "…those aspiring to go there [the Kingdom
of God] should embrace all festivals we experience here, as to become
accustomed to such a lifestyle," the party continues…

Blossoming Devotion

Dear Friends,

Please accept our best wishes. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to
our beautiful Sri Sri Radha Radhanath.

September is turning out to be not only the season of blossoming flowers but
also the season of blossoming devotion. On Monday we celebrated the fantastic
Vyasa puja ceremony for His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami. Maharaj wanted to
bring Srila Prabhupada into focus. So, it turned out to be a festival
celebrating our Founder Acarya, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
Prabhupada, with grandeur and heartfelt emotion.

His Holiness Kadamba Kanana Swami is joining us tomorrow.

Take out your calendars and make note the following programmes:

On Sunday we celebrate the divine appearance Srimati Radharani, the
personification of the divine pleasure potency of Sri Krishna. Srila Prabhupada
writes in Srimad Bhagavatam 2.3.23, "Srimati Radharani is a tenderhearted
feminine counterpart of the supreme whole…"

The festival is an all day affair. We have the unique opportunity to see Her
divine lotus feet. The Deities will be be dressed in three new outfits through
the day, there will be an abhisek ceremony, boat festival and kirtan and
devotees, do not see the Lord with their eyes, but with their ears, so we have
wonderful classes lined up for you to fully absorb you and allow devotion to
blossom in your hearts. The festival schedule follows.

Following Radhastami we are very fortunate to once again host His Holiness
Lokanath Swami who will conduct his stirring Bhagavat Kathas, enlivening all
the devotees with the pastimes of Radha and Krishna.
