A meditation to welcome Lord Ramacandra into our homes
"After giving Vibhisana the power to rule the Raksasa population of Lank for the duration of one kalpa, Lord Ramacandra, the Supreme Personality of Godhead [Bhagavan], placed Sitadevi on an airplane decorated with flowers and then got on the plane Himself. The period for His living in the forest having ended, the Lord returned to Ayodhya, accompanied by Hanuman, Sugriva and His brother Laksmana. When Lord Ramacandra returned to His capital, Ayodhya, He was greeted on the road by the princely order, who showered His body with beautiful, fragrant flowers, while great personalities like Lord Brahma and other demigods glorified the activities of the Lord in great jubilation.” Srimad Bhagavatam 9.10.32-33

Week Ahead 3-9 October 2013

Dear Friends,

World Animal Day is celebrated globally each year on October  4th. It started in Florence, Italy in 1931, at a convention of ecologists. On this day, animal life in all its forms are celebrated, and special events are planned in locations all over the world. Srila Prabhupada revealed Krishna's love for animals, especially the cow: "The community in which Krishna preferred to belong was Vaisya community, because Nanda Maharaja happened to be a Vaisya king, or landholder, and his main business was cow protection. It is understood that he had 900,000 cows and Krishna and Balaram used to take charge of them, along with His many cowherd boy friends, and every day, in the morning He used to go out with His friends and cows into the pasturing grounds." (Srila Prabhupada letter to Hayagriva - Montreal 14 June, 1968)

Sunday Sadhna on SABC 2 will feature the Women's Day Tea Party with Krishna at the Sri Sri Radha Radhanath Temple this week Sunday, 6 October at 11:30.
