Week Ahead 15-21 July 2022

Dear Friends

Festival Season Begins
Devotees are already hard at work preparing for the three-day Sri Krishna Janmashtami Festival from 18-20 August. You can look forward to dance, bhajans, Krishna-katha, a mantra park, Krishna Kids birthday party, Govinda’s snack bar, live cultural entertainment, movies and drama, campfire kirtan, fruit & flower offerings, and free sumptuous meals. More details will be shared in the coming weeks. Staging a festival of this magnitude requires resources. Please come forward to offer your assistance by either volunteering your time, sponsoring ingredients/festival utilities, and/or direct donations. Festivals are special opportunities to attract more mercy. Kindly contact Rupa Vilasa at 072 613 2197.

with Her Grace Surabhu Kunje Devi Dasi
One of Her Grace Yamuna Devi’s many contributions is that by Srila Prabhupada’s personal heartfelt request, she is the voice that sings in every temple, every morning of every year when the deities are unveiled for the day. Also through her, Srila Prabhupada shaped many important activities in ISKCON, like the mood and standards of deity worship and cooking for Krishna. We discuss the various ways Yamuna Devi has contributed to our good fortune.
