Public Programs and Lotus Market Paused

Dear Friends

Due to the alarming increase in COVID-19 infections in South Africa, we have decided to pause all Sunday programs and special gatherings at the temple. The Lotus Market is also postponed to a later date (TBC). For now, we will maintain access for everyone to the daily morning programs starting at 4:30am, which includes the morning classes in the temple room. Darshan of Deities will also be open until 7:30pm daily, at which time the entire temple property will be closed. Govinda’s Takeaway and Radhanath’s Gifts will continue to be operational as per the timings listed at the end of this mail.

While the rise in infections necessitates these immediate safety responses, we know that our ultimate shelter and safety is found only at the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord. Any adversity or reversal offers a devotee more opportunity to increase one’s hearing and chanting of the holy names, remembering the Lord, and sharing transcendental knowledge with others. So as we encourage all well-wishers and devotees of Sri Sri Radha Radhanath Temple to reasonably safeguard themselves from infection, we pray that all of you will increase your dependence on the shelter of Sri Sri Radha Radhanath by increased hearing, chanting, remembering, and distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books – the best form of transcendental knowledge available.
