World Holy Name Festival begins on Ekadasi, Friday, 5 September and culminates on the anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in the US on Monday, 15 September.
Srila Prabhupada began the Krishna Consciousness Movement simply by chanting the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra in Tompkins Square Park, New York. It was that pure chanting of the Holy Name that planted the seeds of bhakti in the hearts of the American people.
We have arranged various World Holy Name Festival events for you to join in.

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur is known as the father of the sankirtan movement. He wrote many books and gave practical guidance to the sadhakas (practicing devotees). One such book is "Harinam Cintamani". We are hosting a seminar based on this book and it is guaranteed to help you with your chanting. Everyone is also encouraged to prepare bhoga offerings for the pleasure of Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur.
