Dear Friends
Bhakti Theatre’s Winter Holiday Production
Govinda & The Rain Lord –A Storm is Coming
Written & Directed by Rukmini Devi Dasi
Date: Saturday • 18 July
Time: 4pm
Venue: Milkwood Theatre, Durban North
Tickets: R80 via Webtickets here
A village community finds itself facing destruction when Indra, the rain lord, wounded in his pride, unleashes a devastating force of nature. Govinda, the divine cowherd, offers extraordinary shelter. As the columns of rain flood the land, pride collides with compassion, the mighty discover their weakness, and the humble their strength. Inspired by the story from the Bhagavata Purana, “Lifting of Govardhan Hill,” this production rekindles the invitation to true shelter from life’s storms.
