Week Ahead 7 -11 October

Dear Friends

30th Anniversary (23 -25 October) - 16 Days to Go

Celebrations include: Kirtan with His Grace Agnidev Prabhu, Flower Festival and Vaishnava-sanga. There will also be a cultural programme and the roll out of Sri Sri Radha Radhanath Temple’s Master Plan, i.e. taking the temple into the next thirty years and beyond.

We Need Your Help

We are on the last stretch of the temple renovations marathon. While we have enjoyed great support from many people, we are still a bit short. We ask the community to rally together to help raise funds for the last bit of renovations for this year. If you have ideas or resources to assist with fund raising please contact Vibhu Caitanya Prabhu. 

One idea is that 100 devotees pledge to collect R1000 each. Can you be counted in the 100?

We are currently busy with tiling the temple wall exterior, polishing the stainless steel roof tiles, replacing the temple room artworks and new signage.

Week Ahead 23 - 28 September

Dear Friends,

We are exactly one month away from our temple’s 30th anniversary celebrations. Many of us come to the temple to join in the festivities, see the temple’s impressive profile while driving on Higginson Highway, or maybe proudly affiliate ourselves with the temple; take a moment to offer your prayers and gratitude to all those who gave us and continue to give us this holy sanctuary.  

 

In recent years the Temple has enjoyed some recognition and in our 30th year we took on the task of restoring and renovating the temple. It has not been an easy road as we face numerous challenges. Vibhu Caitanya Prabhu, now overseeing the project, humbly remarked that he was profoundly struck by the realisation that this temple is a labour of love built by the early devotees themselves.

 

Current renovations include: spraying the temple room benches, replacing the large artworks, replacing the faded tiles around the moat and new signage.

Week Ahead 16 - 24 September 2015

Dear Friends,

We celebrate the Supreme Goddess, Srimati Radharani this weekend. The celebration begins at Bhakti Theatre staging the drama “Radharani & Her Girlfriends.” On Sunday, Sri Sri Radha Radhanath will be offered Their first new outfit, children will be treated to a birthday party, we will take Sri Sri Radha Radhanath for a boat ride and thereafter honour Srimati Radharani by lighting the evening sky with lanterns. Sri Radhashtami on Monday, 21 September is an all day festival. Sri Sri Radha Radhanath will be offered four new outfits throughout the day with a special surprise in each darshan. His Holiness Bhakti Caitanya Swami will walk us through the groves of Vrindavan with his captivating narrations of the pastimes of the cowherd damsels of Vraja and His Holiness Partha Sarathi Das Goswami will reveal the depth of Srimati Radharani’s position.
