Sri Srivas Pandit’s Disappearance

Srivas Pandit is a member of the Sri Panca Tattva and one of the most important personalities who assisted Lord Caitanya. As the treasurer of the holy name, he would select the participants in Lord Caitanya’s confidential kirtans. He was very attached to the holy name and his home served as the headquarters of the Lord’s sankirtan movement. The daily Bhagavatam classes, nightly kirtans, and many confidential Vraja pastimes of Lord Gauranga occurred here. He surrendered his body, mind, home, and all his possessions to Lord Gaura’s service. Srivas Pandit represents the marginal living entity.

Week Ahead 12-18 June 2025

 Dear Friends

🎭 Bhakti Theatre presents, in honour of the 50th Anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s visit to South Africa,
Make Me Dance
A Dance & Poetry Drama
July 12 | 12pm & 4pm | The Playhouse

Fifty years ago, a spiritual visionary stepped onto South African soil — and sparked a quiet revolution. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, founder of the Hare Krishna Movement, came with a bold message: love of God transcends race, nationality, and social barriers.

Arriving during the height of Apartheid, his teachings inspired a generation to rise above division — and to live with purpose and joy. Make Me Dance is a powerful tribute to that legacy — a rich fusion of dance, poetry, music, and storytelling. We trace his journey from India to America to South Africa and hear from the voices of those shaped by his teachings: their triumphs, questions, struggles, and transformations. This is not just a historical drama —
It is a celebration of spiritual awakening, a call to move, feel, and remember what truly matters. Whether you’ve known his story or are just discovering it, Make Me Dance invites you into a journey of the heart. Get your tickets from Webtickets here. This show also marks Bhakti Theatre’s 10th Anniversary!
